## What is it?

Restore images for iPhone, iPad or Mac, often downloaded by hand to restore a device or to create macOS virtual machines. They are several GB each, Mac images more.

## What happens if you delete it?

Not recreated, but Apple’s restore images can be downloaded again.

Once the restore or virtual machine installation is done, move them to the Trash.
