## What is it?

Full macOS installer apps, such as “Install macOS Sequoia”, downloaded from the App Store, Software Update or Terminal. Each typically takes around 12–17 GB. Once macOS is installed, they are no longer needed.

## What happens if you delete it?

You can download an installer again from the App Store or with `softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer`, which takes time and bandwidth.

## How to remove it properly

Drag the installer from Applications to the Trash; an administrator password may be needed.
