## What is it?

Nuxt generates a `.nuxt` folder at the project root, next to `package.json`, with its generated types, templates and development build. Only folders in projects untouched for 14 days are considered. Typically tens to hundreds of MB.

## What happens if you delete it?

Nuxt regenerates it on the next `nuxi dev`, `nuxi build` or `nuxi prepare` (often run after `npm install`). Nothing of yours is stored inside.

## How to remove it properly

Run `npx nuxi cleanup` in the project, which removes `.nuxt`, `.output` and Nuxt’s other generated caches permanently, or move `.nuxt` to the Trash in Finder.
