The short answer

Yes. Rebuilt or re-downloaded automatically when needed.

What is it?

Caches of other Google software in ~/Library/Caches/Google, such as Google Drive, Google Earth, GoogleUpdater or Android Studio, depending on what you have installed. Sizes vary from a few MB to several GB.

What happens if you delete it?

Each app rebuilds its cache as needed. No documents or settings are stored here.

How to remove it properly

Quit the Google apps involved, then move the subfolders you want to clear to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder… and enter ~/Library/Caches/Google).

Quit the app that uses it, then move it to the Trash. Empty the Trash when you’re sure.

Before you delete it

Clearing the cache of the Android Studio version you use makes it re-index your projects at next launch, which can take several minutes.

How MoreRoom helps

MoreRoom recognises this item, shows its real size and when it was last used, and labels it “Safe to remove”. In the free version you can move it to the Trash in one click, with Undo; Pro collects every safe item at once.
