In short
- Choose MoreRoom › Settings…, open the Licence tab and click Enter Licence Key… — or click any PRO badge. Paste your key and click Activate.
- Your key starts with MR- and is in the email you received after buying. Capitals, spaces and dashes don’t matter.
- Activation needs the internet once. After that Pro works offline; MoreRoom renews its activation quietly when it’s online.
How to activate Pro
- Copy your key Copy the key from the thank-you page or from the email “Your MoreRoom Pro licence key”. It looks like MR-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
- Open the Pro sheet In MoreRoom, choose MoreRoom › Settings… (⌘,), click Licence, then Enter Licence Key…. You can also click any PRO badge in the app.
- Paste and activate Under Already have a licence?, paste the key into the field and click Activate (or press Return).
- Check The sheet closes and Settings › Licence shows your plan: Pro Yearly or Pro Lifetime. The PRO badges disappear.
Where to paste the key
The Pro sheet — the one that opens from any PRO badge or from Settings › Licence › Enter Licence Key… — has a field under Already have a licence?. Paste your key there and click Activate.
Not installed yet? Download MoreRoom first: Pro is unlocked in the same app, there’s nothing else to install.
If activation fails

Offline use
Activation gives this Mac a signed licence that MoreRoom checks on the Mac itself, so Pro keeps working without internet. When the Mac is online, MoreRoom renews it quietly about once a week. Pro Lifetime keeps working even if the Mac stays offline for a long time. Pro Yearly keeps working offline for about five weeks after MoreRoom last renewed it; after that, it needs to go online once.
The licence is stored in your Mac’s Keychain. To activate, MoreRoom sends your key, an anonymous identifier of the Mac and the Mac’s name — so you can recognise it — and nothing else. See Privacy and security.
